Site specific line drawings from Irish Artist Oisin Byrne. Oisin made these drawings for the interior of Irish Architects; De Blacam and Meagher’s residence on the Grand Canal in Portobello, Dublin last year. The piece depicts a maximalist and lush gothic interior in minimalist black ink line drawing.
“Not mathematical or cartesian, the drawing is ostensibly human: hand-made and wobbly, perspectives faltering, and patterns fluctuating. The columnades and vaulting are headed – literally – with faces and profiles, inhabiting and animating the architecture.”
