I went for coffee last week in a great little cafe Brother Hubbard on Capel street in Dublin. I was really impressed with the design of the place. The interior and identity was designed by Dublin based Design Goat; who have also done work for 3FE. Everything in Brother Hubbard seems to have been thought out to such detail. There’s a real contemporary feel to the place. Solid ash counters, tables and stools complimented by the custom green powder-coated steel brackets supporting the seating, shelving and lighting gives a strong continuity. The Belfast sink embedded into the counter to hold cold drinks and the custom lamp shades show real ingenuity from the lads at Design Goat. Check out their other projects on the site below and if you’re in the area pop in for a coffee. Photography by Al Higgins.
