Surreal photography from Korean creative JeeYoung Lee. All these images are of her 3 x 6m studio where she creates the stages set which she inhabits through her photography. Her work will be at the Naughton Gallery at Queens (Belfast, Northen Ireland) next year.
Stunningly seductive paintings from Korean Artist Ho Ryon Lee. Ho Ryon uses several overlapping images to create these skillful paintings, adding movement and the dimension of time. It’s quite a leap but my second thought after seeing these paintings was the work of Étienne-Jules Marey more to do with the overlapping really. When it comes being racy Étienne-Jules Marey doesn’t come close! Ho Ryon Lee is represented by Galerie Bhak in Seoul. You can see and read more about Ho Ryon Lee’s work here.
Beautifully Dark and bizarre hand drawn work from Seoul, Korea and New York based artist Seungyea Park (Spunky Zoe). Seungyea works by drawing circles with ball point pen and acrylic paint on acid free paper. Have a look at the images below of her studio to get an idea of the scale of these pieces. They’ll set you back $10,000 through Saatchi Online.
“I am trying to look at two monsters which is inside of me, and the other is outside of me. My paintings are like battlefields in which these monsters are struggling”
