Michael Taylor – Quanta
A new series of abstract images of light by UK photographer Michael Taylor will be released on the 7th of May. The series was made at a fairground in southern France, capturing the rides with long exposures to create some really interesting moving light photography. Michael Taylor has many more images from other projects on his site below.
Matt Hass
I probably spent about an hour on Matt Hass’s site yesterday looking through his photo sets. Some seriously skillful color matching and clever framing. I’ve chosen just a few for this post, most of them noir and somewhat gritty images of in between moments.
Crown Vase – Lambert Rainville
A bit late for Valentine’s day but it’s a genius little invention all the same from London based designer Lambert Rainville. A circular series of triangle shaped plastic funnels hold the individual stems of a bouquet of flowers allowing them to become self supporting. These are available to buy on shapeways.com
Dennis Gilbert
Images of Warwick Junction in Durban, South Africa from London based Photographer Dennis Gilbert who is better know for his work as an Architectural Photography.
Stephen Brandes
Absurd rambling large scale panoramic hand drawn works on sections of vinyl flooring from Cork based British Artist Stephen Brandes.
Duggan Morris Architects – Curtain Road
Duggan Morris Architect’s new urban infill project on Curtain Road in Shoreditch, London is nearly complete. The existing three story brick building is crowned with a contemporary lightweight volume proportioned into bays defined by it’s context while contrasting beautifully with the depth and ornamentation of the retained georgian facade. Photography by Jack Hobhouse.
